Playing poker or any game within your financial limits is a very important discipline every player must adopt. Some players may be carried away by greed and emotional instability by spending more than what they budgeted for poker games!
This is very risk and can push a gambler to debts, criminality and all form of mental stress
Do you exceed your financial limits when playing poker games?

Whenever I get my pay, I always set aside 5% of that for poker. That's enough money to fund my online and offline poker adventures. I don't use more than that for poker for any reason. And I have never borrowed funds to play poker.

I only play tournaments within my bankroll. I don't play cash games unless there is a bonus or incentive for me to play. I'm very strict when it comes to bankroll management. I believe discipline with my bankroll is key to having success with poker. I rather win long term than start over from scratch, because I couldn't manage my bankroll properly.

It also makes you doubt your own abilities if you ignore bankroll management, and are always rebuilding your bankroll.

It is very essential to set a limit and stick to it when you are playing poker. Allocating a specific amount for poker is necessary and what is most important is that you should not exceed it so as to avoid financial stress.

I'm not into poker, so I don't play at all. But staying within your financial limits is definitely the smart approach for anyone who does play. I've seen too many people get in over their heads chasing losses or playing stakes they can't afford. Gambling should never touch money you actually need for life.

I mostly remain in my limit but I slip up sometimes like everyone else. However, i have learned the hard way that chasing big wins when I can't afford it just ruins the fun. These days I stick to limits where a bad night stings but doesn't hurt.
